A model for academic inventorship, the university’s National Academy of Inventors chapter recognizes and supports academic inventors who have issued patents from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. 

The Auster Center for Applied Innovation and Research helps Tufts researchers translate discoveries into real-world impact through transdisciplinary collaboration, systematic methodologies, and strategic partnerships—with the mission of advance understanding of how innovation can be fostered, translated, and applied to do good in the world.

At the Derby Entrepreneurship Center at Tufts, entrepreneurial leaders bring ideas to life. The center's team develops an entrepreneurial mindset and skillset among our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and our community through its undergraduate academic program, hands-on learning experiences, and equity-free funding through competitions, prizes, internships, and awards.
